4 Places Not To Miss The Next Time You Clean Up

You’ve probably got your cleaning routine down. Mopping, vacuuming, or sweeping every week or so; dishes; laundry; even dusting and organizing. But it’s likely that your cleaning schedule doesn’t cover everything. Here are a few places that many people forget when they clean up.

Couch Cushions

While you may occasionally spot clean or vacuum your sofa but when was the last time you removed the cushions. You might just find something you’ve lost underneath those pillows or at least realize you snack too much on the couch. Either way, take this time to vacuum any crumbs and dirt from the couch and consider washing pillows, blankets, or even the cushion covers themselves while you’re at it.

Under Tables

Many vacuums don’t reach under furniture, like tables or couches. You probably won’t end up moving the piece each time you go to clean the floor but doing so every once in a while is necessary. Take the time once a month to move furniture out of the way so that you can adequately clean around it. This is also a great time to contemplate moving the room’s furniture around for a fresh look.

Windows

You might wash the windows once a year or so, but consider doing it more often. Not only will you want to take some cleaner and a rag to the actual glass but be sure to dust the blinds and curtain rods and consider throwing fabric curtains in the washing machine to clean.

Ceiling Fans

Out of reach, out of mind, right? Ceiling fans require a ladder to access and if you’re cleaning, one of the last things you want to do is add a ladder into the mix. However, it’s important to take the time to dust off your ceiling fans every now and then. After all, the dust on your ceiling fan is being spread around as it cools your room, only to settle right back down on the fan.

The next time you go on a cleaning spree or just want to tidy up your home, don’t forget these four places.
